Gaza Flotilla Activists Disguised as Humanitarians Attack Israeli Commandos

The global community condemned Israel's response to a flotilla disguised as delivering humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
On May 31, 2010 as most Americans were celebrating Memorial Day in honor of the sacrifice the American military has paid in defense of America's homeland and Freedom, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stopped the Gaza Flotilla that was attempting to break a naval blockade to enter the Hamas controlled Gaza Strip.
Pro-Palestine activists working for a range of radical groups, such as Free Gaza and the IHH were part of a convoy of ships dubbed the Freedom Flotilla.
Five ships of the flotilla were boarded without resistance, but alleged peace-activists onboard the sixth and largest ship named the Mavi Marmara attacked Israeli commandos.
Israeli naval commandos rappelled from helicopters onto the Mavi Marmara after the flotilla refused to dock in the Ashdod Port and refused to allow Israel to inspect and distribute the humanitarian aid.
Activists aboard the Mavi Marmara, flying the Turkish flag and part of the IHH, attacked the rappelling commandos with knives, metal clubs and physically threw one soldier overboard.

Activists also strong armed pistols from a pair of commandos and shot two of them, one in the knee and another in the stomach.
Approximately 40 people on the upper deck of the ship with no identification, wearing bullet proof vests and using weapons against the IDF soldiers are considered to be mercenaries of the al-Qaeda terror organization.
Israeli commandos originally boarded the ship with paintball rifles. The non-lethal air devices are utilized for crowd control. The Israeli commandos were not adequately prepared for the response by the activists.
As reported by Reuters, analyst for Israel's Channel 10 television noted that video footage appears to show marines thwarted an attempt to tie the rappelling ropes to the deck, a major threat to the hovering helicopter.
Perhaps, Israeli intelligence trusted more than they verified.
The order for proper self defense came in and Israeli commandos resorted to live fire killing at least nine combatants aboard the Mavi Marmara.
Activists were prepared for confrontation and chanted battle cries invoking the killing and defeat of Jews, even if it resulted in martyrdom and this was before they embarked.
The flotilla refused to stop upon naval orders and refused to allow Israel to distribute the humanitarian aid, telling the Israeli Navy "negative, negative our destination is Gaza."
Apparently the activists were hell bent on arriving at their destination, be it Gaza or martyrdom, it was their will to be done.
Keep in mind objective readers, that Israel coordinates approximately 15,000 tons of humanitarian aid per week into Gaza, which is more than the entire flotilla load.
Israel also provides 70-percent of all electricity into the Gaza Strip; this true humanitarian aid is provided by Israel despite that by January 2009, over 8,600 rockets were fired into civilian targets from the Gaza Strip into Israeli cities.
While the global community condemns Israel for defending themselves and protecting their right to survive, ask yourselves what should your nation do if a flotilla armed with supporters of your enemies refused to heed the legal warnings from your military and attacked your soldiers?
Legitimate humanitarians across the globe should be incensed at the Gaza flotilla.
Supporters of Israel's enemies dressed up as "peace activists" and attempted to break a legal blockade, a blockade in place for the defense of their homeland; should Israel or the world be that easily fooled?
Activists of the Gaza flotilla disguised as humanitarians attacked Israeli commandos and the international community decries Israel's response.

Comedy Central Censors South Park's Muhammad Episode
Prophet Muhannad disguised in bear suit.
A New York Muslim group scared Comedy Central into censoring portions of South Park episode 201, the portions that were censored were those containing any hint to the Prophet Muhammad.
The NY based group Revolution Muslim was the subject of a CNN investigation last year for its radical rhetoric supporting jihad against the West and praising al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.

Nancy Pelosi's Emotional Hypocrisy

Is there ugly rhetoric in the current debate surrounding healthcare? You betcha! And it should not be condoned. I believe it is immature to justify bad behavior by pointing to other bad behavior. This content is not going to do that, what it will do is illustrate the hypocrisy of the left, namely Nancy Pelosi.
Madam Speaker had this to say, "I think we have to take responsibility for our action and words." You can view the emotional address here. Pelosi continued by referring to the "late '70s in San Francisco. This kind of rhetoric was very frightening...it created a climate in which violence took place." A reference to the murders of Harvey Milk, a gay rights activist.
Her statement in of itself is a sound one. Savvy onlookers, however, know what is under that plastic mask. Pelosi's cautionary tale along with recent cries of racism is the new bat wielded by the left. It serves to scare the opposition into silence. Listen people, opposing the POTUS is not a hate crime.
In all fairness, fancy Nancy did not call out any Republicans during her emotional performance. Later that same day the House Speaker did send out a fundraising letter, in which she could no longer contain herself.
In her letter, Pelosi accuses the opponents of "health-insurance reform" (note the name change) of cynical name calling and waging "false attacks on President Obama."
"I think we have to take responsibility for our actions and words." Oh, really Madam Speaker? Are you and yours ready to take responsibility of and for the following:
Uttered during the summer of '09 about the American people opposing Obama's plan(s):
1. "Un-American"-Nancy Pelosi (D-CA)
2. "Evil-mongers"-Harry Reid (D-NV)
3. "Racist"- Jimmy Carter (D- former POTUS)

For the sake of brevity, I'll stop this list consisting of, uh, to borrow Pelosi's words, "Rhetoric that is frightening." What is egregious about this list of ten insults are that it is uttered by our elected officials and hurled at the American people.
Any forthcoming apology from Pelosi and her team's glaring lack of decorum? Didn't think so.
In conclusion, it is only fitting to close with Nancy's own words; yeah I know I said I'll stop at ten. Sue me, or rather call out, "You Lie."

Hooker and Pimp Exposes ACORN in Brooklyn, NY

Faux hooker and pimp, Hannah Giles and James O'Keefe, exposed ACORN again. The dirty deed this time occurred in the city that never sleeps; Brooklyn, NY.
I have worked the mean streets of NYC for over 20-years, including a stint in vice (it wasn't called vice then, it was known as the public morals division). My travels have taken me to that seedy side of Nevins Street where ACORN (house of ill repute?) sits. Let me tell ya, prostitutes of Giles quality does not exist.
The illustrious former governor of NY, Elliot Spitzer, paid over five grand for time spent with a comely "escort" that was not of Giles caliber. It is obvious that pure greed is the root of the ACORN tree. Greed and political expediency to that end trumps even their own street savvy.
Is your ideology trumping your good sense? Is the close affiliation to Barack Obama preventing you from seeing why this community organization should not be the recipient of public funds? When is enough, enough?
James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles are emerging as American heroes. They are doing what the "true" investigative journalists are not. They are exposing a corrupt organization that is ripping us off to the tune of millions and potentially billions of dollars.
The MSM does not have the stomach to go after Barack Obama's pet organization, which is another example of ideology trumping ethical standards. If this were a GOP front, the MSM would be all over this; like spit(zer) on a hooker's pillowcase.
ACORN like Van Jones, is it me or does Barack Obama have some cool friends, played the victim role and blamed FOX, Republicans and racism. After the Baltimore sting netted a pair of ACORNs, a top official of that outfit stated they have plans to sue O'Keefe, Giles, and the FOX network. Why FOX? Because they had the audacity to report this mess.
Baltimore City's top prosecutor even issued a threatening statement boasting of possible charges against O'Keefe and Giles. The prosecutor, Patricia Jessamy, is a Barack Obama supporter, surprise, surprise.
In the Brooklyn nuthouse, ACORN officials advised the two criminals appearing before them to squirrel away their ill-gotten proceeds. "When you buy the house with a back yard, you get a tin and bury it down in there, and you put the money right in, and you put grass over it, and you don't tell a single soul but yourself where it is"
The streetwalker and her man posing undercover, that is undercover, not under the covers people, entered the Brooklyn office with the idea of purchasing a house to operate a brothel. The brothel will house underage children to work as prostitutes. ACORN was more than willing to help establish this criminal enterprise.
What is particularly troubling is that ACORN and its friends, i.e. the POTUS and Patricia Jessamy who happens to be president of the Baltimore Child Abuse Center, claim to be for the youth, the community, and the downtrodden. Those groups are hurt the most by this corruption and complicity by the "powers that be." Where is the outrage, folks?
Democratic Representative John Conyers was called off investigating ACORN. Conyers claims, "The powers that be called [him] off." Even Barney Frank reversed his stance to deny ACORN public funds.
Perhaps, the ACORN nuts exposed by O’Keefe and Giles does not bother Barney Frank. After all, the Washington Times reported that Frank’s Capitol Hill apartment was operating a real life prostitution ring, where his gay lover was performing...let’s just say a public service.
Did I ask yet, where is the outrage?

Baltimore Prosecutor May Go After Undercover Producers of ACORN Video

Baltimore City's State Attorney, Patricia Jessamy may prosecute James O'Keefe for exposing ACORN employees in an undercover sting. That sting operation, which James O'Keefe posed as a pimp and Hanna Giles posed as a prostitute revealed some very disturbing footage about corruption inside of ACORN.
On Thursday, the undercover operatives armed with a hidden camera walked into an ACORN office in Baltimore City, MD. The man (pimp) and woman (prostitute) ask about buying a house (brothel) and how to account on tax forms for the woman's income. An ACORN employee advises the woman to list her occupation as "performance artist."
ACORN fired the two employees. Less than 24-hours later, in Washington DC a similar sting netted more ACORN employees. The DC employees were also fired. Clearly, there is a systemic problem regarding ACORN.
Rep. Conyers, Michigan Democrat, called for hearings on accusations the Association of Community Organization for Reform Now (ACORN) has committed crimes ranging from voter fraud to a mob-style "protection" racket.
Conyers abruptly reversed the decision to investigate and claimed, "The powers that be decided against it." Mr. Conyers will not elaborate.
Patricia Jessamy, Baltimore's top prosecutor, who ironically happens to be president of the Baltimore Child Abuse Center, became aware of ACORN conspiring with a pimp and a prostitute to exploit Hispanic children in a prostitution ring. Wonderful, Jessamy is the right person to bring justice forward! Think again folks, the prosecutor's office had this to say:
What an Obamanation! You see, Jessamy is a huge Barack Obama supporter, Obama is a huge ACORN fan and vise versa. It's all in the family, Chicago style.
Barack Obama was a community organizer in Project Vote and served as ACORN's lawyer. He also funneled more than $800,000 to ACORN during the campaign and ACORN endorsed Obama in the primary.
We are in the Bizarro world, where the POTUS calls off investigations of voter fraud and other illegalities when it is perpetrated by ACORN and the Black Panthers, but gives the wink and nod to go after the CIA.
In the same crazy world, ACORN's Maryland top official had this to say, "We believe our country is beyond this type of attack and call on all Americans to demand that FOX stop its RACIST coverage."
The race card again! I can understand blasting FOX; after all, they are the only network with the cajones to go after Obama's peeps, but racist!?
ACORN was caught on tape advising how to shield a criminal enterprise where Hispanic girls would have been placed in a child prostitution ring. And FOX is racist for reporting it!?!
Folks, At least $53 million in federal funds have gone to ACORN and Barack Obama could funnel $8.5 billion more tax dollars to them, despite being under investigation for voter registration fraud in a dozen states.
Rep. Michelle Bachmann, R-MN, wants to stop the flow of tax dollars to ACORN. On a voice vote, Barney Frank agreed but like Conyers, he had a sudden change of heart and said it was a mistake to vote yes. Frank now plans to offer another amendment to the bill on the House floor that would allow non-profits that have been indicted to receive grants.
The president should be proud.

In addition, the audio portion could possibly have been obtained in violation of Maryland Law, Annotated Code of Maryland Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article §10-402, which requires two party consent.No word if ACORN was threatened with any probes. Patricia Jessamy is clearly allowing her ideology to trump her dedication to abused children.
If it is determined that the audio portion now being heard on YouTube was illegally obtained, it is also illegal under Maryland Law to willfully use or willfully disclose the content of said audio. The penalty for the unlawful interception, disclosure or use of it is a felony punishable up to 5 years.

Van Jones Resigned, Other Obama Czars Must Go

Preface: The following is not a complete list; for the sake of brevity it includes only four of the president’s appointments. Timothy Geithner is not on the list, but his resignation should have been tendered before Van Jones.
The POTUS appointed Geithner as our Treasury Chief, how’s that been working out for us? Another quick reminder, Geithner was the CEO of the New York Federal Reserve and presided over some of the largest economic failures prior to being selected as our Treasury Chief. Folks, this was in addition to Geithner not paying his taxes for 5-years, more on the Treasury Czar here.

Remember part 1, it was reported that Obama’s Green Jobs Czar rallied for cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal, in Oakland. What a way to get a job at the White House, albeit temporary.
Certainly, by mid-August Van Jones was exposed to the public. Two obvious positions exist, either Barack Obama endorsed the anti-American sentiment or Barack Obama is incompetent as a leader, either one is perilous.
Valerie Jarrett was the chief executive of Habitat Co., which managed Grove Parc Plaza a housing complex in Chicago that was seized by the federal government in 2006 for deplorable conditions. Tenants lost their homes; surrounding neighborhoods were blighted.
Grove Parc and several other prominent failures were developed and managed by Obama's close friends and political supporters, including Jarrett and Rezko. Follow the money folks, more here and here.
I often claim the media is corrupt; their silence on these matters bolsters that claim. The media, regardless of my disdain, is a very powerful institution in part due to the influence it has over politicians. Exposure forced Van Jones to resign.
Ride the momentum and continue to ply the pressure, it will not happen unless you get involved. Call the White House and demand the removal of the above-mentioned Czars and officials.

Remember part 1, it was reported that Obama’s Green Jobs Czar rallied for cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal, in Oakland. What a way to get a job at the White House, albeit temporary.
Certainly, by mid-August Van Jones was exposed to the public. Two obvious positions exist, either Barack Obama endorsed the anti-American sentiment or Barack Obama is incompetent as a leader, either one is perilous.
Valerie Jarrett was the chief executive of Habitat Co., which managed Grove Parc Plaza a housing complex in Chicago that was seized by the federal government in 2006 for deplorable conditions. Tenants lost their homes; surrounding neighborhoods were blighted.
Grove Parc and several other prominent failures were developed and managed by Obama's close friends and political supporters, including Jarrett and Rezko. Follow the money folks, more here and here.
I often claim the media is corrupt; their silence on these matters bolsters that claim. The media, regardless of my disdain, is a very powerful institution in part due to the influence it has over politicians. Exposure forced Van Jones to resign.
Ride the momentum and continue to ply the pressure, it will not happen unless you get involved. Call the White House and demand the removal of the above-mentioned Czars and officials.

His decades of service was not to our benefit, he merely enjoyed the protection as a member of "Camelot." Barney Frank Challenged at Town Hall Meeting by LaRouche Democrat

Most of us are aware of the controversy surrounding the recent town hall meetings where various representatives show up to discuss healthcare reform. The Democrats did not anticipate the passionate rejection of Obamacare. The American people were not buying.
President Obama, a great campaigner and orator as long as the teleprompter is working, appeared before us and could not quite sell it either. Barack Obama the campaigner just met Barack Obama the President.
What did our illustrious leaders do? They started a smear campaign against the American people. Nancy Pelosi and her minions began to claim that the grassroots effort of the people were instead Astroturf; a cool way of saying the backlash is contrived.
Barney Frank appeared courageous if not justified by telling a woman at a recent Massachusetts town hall meeting, “Trying to have a conversation with you would be like trying to argue with a dining room table.” This was in response to the woman asking Frank, "Why do you continue to support a Nazi policy?"
The Nazi policy was a reference to Obamacare. The woman was also holding an image of Obama
wearing a Hitler moustache.
They (Obama, Pelosi, Barney Frank, MSNBC, et al) want to mislead us into believing our neighbors and our senior citizens are not concerned. They float out the notion that we are being fed myths and lies by FOX and Tea Party organizers. They want the nation to believe that it is angry hordes of conservatives showing up at town hall meetings with Hitlerized posters of Obama.
Folks, don't listen to me. For the sake of this union, turn the pages yourselves. Regardless, if you agree with that LaRouche woman or not, the point is the MSM is corrupt and complicit. The media has a vested interest in the success of their American Idol.

Creator of Obama Joker Image Unmasked
... and Is "Socialist" the New N-Word?

The LA Times reported that Firas Alkhateeb, a 20-year old Chicago, Illinois University student created the now (in) famous Joker image of Barack Obama. Alkhateeb, bored during a winter recess began tinkering with the popular Photoshop software and Jokerized an image of the president's face. Alkhateeb posted the image on Flickr, a photo-sharing site.
Ironically, the White House utilizes Flickr as a hosting site for its official images, which are available for public use. Alkhateeb, used the October 23, 2006 cover of Times magazine, which featured then Senator Barack Obama, as the template for his Joker image.
An unknown visitor to Flickr modified the image by eliminating the Time magazine graphics and added the caption, "Socialism." Copies of the new version were plastered around L.A., becoming a springboard for liberal pundits to jump all over the opposition.
The LA Weekly, which depicted George Bush as Dracula on its cover in 2004, denounced the Obama-Joker image. The incensed LA Weekly writer
even added, "The only thing missing is a noose." The writer further blasted Conservatives and the FOX news network.
Many on the left including those caught up in the racial divide, unsuspectingly furthered by President Obama's rhetoric, are fanning the flames. Flames stirred by race-arsonists, hyperbolic pundits and the Pelosi team.
Some are claiming that the term "Socialism" if applied to Barack Obama is now a code word for the “N-word.” Normal discourse is now degenerating into a race war. How did our capacity to reason become so easily hijacked? What happened to the hope of unity?
It was expected (falsely?) that unity might be attained if not further sustained by the nation's first black president. It is ironic if not sad that the chasm of the racial divide is deepened mainly by the Obama supporters, if not the president himself.
These allegations of racism, being hurled around quicker than a drunken fist, are not honest attempts at exposing bigotry. Instead, it is an ugly attempt to win an argument by scaring your opponent into silence. The most demonizing label outside of a pedophile is a racist. If a person wishing to maintain a public presence is successfully maligned, his or her voice will be effectively silenced.
In a MSNBC segment called the C-Note, host Carlos Watson offered, "whether or not 'socialist' is becoming the new N-word for frankly... for some angry upset birthers and others."
During a recent FOX episode, Sean Hannity and Frank Luntz hosted a town hall styled gathering. An attendee mirrored that MSNBC sentiment and stated, "words like 'un-American,' 'socialism,' that you use, Sean, I think it's really code word for it's the new N-word."
The dangerous result of such dramatic recklessness is the boy-who-cried-wolf syndrome and when actual racism rears its ugly head, we may all be blind to it...except the victim of course.
The double standard also extends to how we treat the person(s) leveling false accusations of racism. Where is the same level of consternation when the race card is illegitimately thrown around by the left and even the president? Folks, you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.

He opined that Barack Obama is doing a better job than Bush and admitted fear of having a perceived anti-Obama stance in Chicago.
Mr. Alkhateeb did not vote and stated Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich would be his choice.
It should be an interesting analysis by MSNBC and the boy-who-cried-wolf crowd regarding the racial and political component of the Obama-Joker image since the creator of it has been unmasked. If we are going to have a conversation about race, or anything for that matter, let it be an honest one.

Lucia Whalen, Gates' 911 Caller Speaks Out

The below embedded video is a display of what your post-racial president reduced an American citizen to. Of all the parties involved in this ugly incident that deserves an apology and a drink it is Lucia Whalen.
Sgt. Crowley is a seasoned officer with thick skin; dealing with arrogant racial profiling professors is tame compared to what a cop may face. Granted being called out by the POTUS is not a routine result of answering 911 calls, but very well may be if the handlers do not reign in Obama. Don't forget folks, for over 20-years the POTUS sat in the pew of one of America's most popular racist, Jeremiah Wright.
Supporters of Gates have excoriated the 911 caller by wrongly accusing her of racism. The 911 transcript clearly shows how color blind she is, you can view that transcript here.
The danger of Obama's & Gates' racial profiling of Sgt. Crowley, because you see folks a white police officer must fit the description of a racist in the POTUS' & professor's viewpoint, is to create and continue apathy among otherwise decent citizens.
The treatment of Lucia Whalen, which was furthered by the POTUS, also creates and further divides race relations in America.
This alleged post-racial president impeded the forward progress of race relations in America. Way to go Barack Obama, way to go.

Happy Birthday John William Finn

In a society enamored with popular culture, far too often our American heroes are determined by the media that delivers such figures into our living rooms, the Michael Jackson coverage is a timely example.
The true American heroes of our time are often the unsung ones. There are indeed men and women that understand the value of a handshake and of service. There are moments when an individual will perform extraordinary feats of heroism that captures our attention and hearts.
This content is to illustrate one particular Defender of Freedom, Lieutenant John William Finn. Lt. Finn did receive accolades for his heroics during WW2 in the form of medals, but many haven't heard of this Great American. That's not their fault, for John William Finn did not win any MTV awards, nor did he earn the title “King of Pop.” No, John Finn earned the grade of Lieutenant in the United States Navy.
John William Finn was born July 23, 1909, today is his 100th birthday. Finn received the first Medal of Honor in WW2 for his action the day the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. On December 07, 1941, Finn was actually at Kaneohe Bay, which was hit several minutes before Pearl Harbor.
Finn is the oldest living Medal of Honor recipient and is also the only living Pearl-Harbor-Day Medal of Honor recipient.
During the first attack by the Japanese, John William Finn was an Aviation Ordnanceman Chief Petty Officer and took control of a .50 caliber machine gun mounted on an a completely exposed section of the air station's aircraft parking ramp. He continued to fire on the attacking planes despite being hit by shrapnel 21 times.

John William Finn lived on base and shared quarters with his lovely wife Alice. While Finn was defending his country on that fateful day, his wife, Alice was tending to life saving duties in her capacity as a nurse. In September 1942, Lieutenant John Finn was presented the Medal of Honor for his heroism.
"My deal was... is inconsequential the way I see it. Some of the guys [that made the ultimate sacrifice] you just cannot believe what they did, what they were fighting for, it was our Freedom. And our right to liberty and justice and love of God, whatever God you worship...to have that Freedom."- John William Finn, Lieutenant US Navy, retired. [Excerpted from video]
In addition to the Medal of Honor, Finn's decorations include the Purple Heart; American Defense Service Medal; Navy Good Conduct Medal with two bronze stars; American Campaign Medal; Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal; World War II Victory Medal; and the Navy Occupation Service Medal.
Finn is the last surviving Medal of Honor recipient from the attack on Pearl Harbor, as well as being the oldest living recipient. As of 2009, Finn is the only Aviation Ordnanceman Medal of Honor recipient in the history of the rate (US Navy utilizes "rates" not "rank"). In addition to all of this, Finn's Medal of Honor is the only medal of its kind with a citation on the back summarizing the events of heroism.
"Although painfully wounded many times, he continued to man his gun and to return the enemy's fire vigorously and with telling effect throughout the enemy strafing and bombing attacks and with complete disregard for his own personal safety. It was only by specific orders that he was persuaded to leave his post to seek medical attention. Mr. Finn currently resides in California, his birthplace. He reportedly resides alone since his wife's death in 1998.

Sarah Palin 2012?

Many of Sarah Palin's supporters claim she is a viable presidential candidate in 2012. Turning down the hype, a 2012 run does not seem so far fetched. After all, Palin has proven herself to be more experienced and substantive than the incumbent, but that's tantamount to comparing two toddlers in the park, both cute but please don't expect them to walk on steady legs.
Sarah Palin resigning her post as governor of Alaska makes a 2012 run appear as an exercise in futility, some analysts may argue a Palin presidential run is futile regardless of recent events. This may be true, but again everything is relative and a Palin and anybody ticket may be better for the nation than an Obama-Bin-Lyin' ticket.
I digress, you see here is the rub, in our current society and culture, prevailing opinion is not shaped by facts but by media and fad, which more often than not the media determine the fad.
The Palin supporters are indicating that the multitude of detractors, bogus complaints and headhunters are occupying too much of the Alaska governor's attention and costing too much of state funds, therefore quitting the elected post is justified. Many analysts pro and con claim Palin's departure is a sign of weakness or simply self-serving; maybe they are all correct.
Perhaps, Palin quitting her post is indeed for valiant reasons and in the best interest of Alaska and dare I say the nation. Did not Barack Obama effectively remove himself from his senate post to run for president, in an effort to better the entire nation? By the way, Obama remained on the Illinois payroll during his 18-month run.
Quitting, however, in the face of adversity rubs Americans the wrong way. Valid arguments can be made that stepping down and handing the reigns over to a qualified lieutenant in the face of such chaos serves the public the best; the flip side is that a true leader will rise above it all and keep the ship on its proper course.
One thing for certain is that Sarah Palin inspires much emotion in both her supporters and detractors thus making her an attractive figure for the media to watch. Car wrecks, for bad or worse, also captures traffic-snarling attention. Palin's popularity and ability to garner media attention will afford her the viability she needs to seek high office, be it in 2012 or 2016.
Sarah Palin has recently said that if her resignation means that she is politically dead than so be it, her choice was made for the best interest of her family and the Alaskan public. Hopefully the folks will decide for themselves, recent significant American events indicate that the media will decide for the folks.
America has shown to have a short attention span and to be easily distracted by pretty lights. The master of those distracting lights is the Obama National Media. Regardless of which political aisle you stand, the truth should shape your opinions, merit and substance should determine viability.
For this voter, Sarah Palin does not represent the best the GOP has to offer, but the incumbent certainly is not the best the Democratic Party had to offer. It is a corrupt media that far too often determines the strength of a candidate. It is to our peril that we as a society refuse to muster the energy to think for ourselves. Ruminations about today's "historical event." (The quote has been repeatedly hyped by CNN and MSNBC and The New York Times, countless times, so I take the liberty to put it into perspective and, as usual, start off base to get to the conclusion.) It is not enough to witness history, it is also important to understand it.
Fiscal stimulus, as applied during WWII, lifted the nation out of the Great Depression. So goes the common wisdom. There is nothing common about wisdom.
However, there is no evidence whatsoever, that fiscal stimulus ever really worked. WWII took 12 million people off the unemployment rolls through conscription. That has worked. It put 12 million to work, not Obama's three. Obama will go on a fiscal stimulus orgy of unprecedented proportions and the results may not work as intended...otherwise known as the Law of Unintended Consequences.
Government is not the solution. It is the problem. As Ronald Reagan observed...and if anyone can recall, he took us out of a five year recession...without fiscal stimulus using the printing presses. Whenever new money is printed, it creates inflation. Carter left with 21% inflation. Within two years Reagan took that down to 4%.
To put that into perspective, 21% inflation will wipe out the value of your bank account in four years.
Let's think about this for a moment....before the orgy begins.
When asked about The Bush Doctrine, which has several components and has changed content and intent by declaration over the years, Sarah Palin answered citing just one component...and was resoundingly satirized for it. Of course, most people reading this don't even know one component, never mind several...and her inquisitor probably knew only the one he was going to judge her by.
Interestingly, the Soviet KGB understood it well even before George W. Bush doubled the required air time for his National Guard duties and flew jet fighters over North Carolina.

So what did the dastardly media expect of Palin...hmmm?
To judge her more harshly than even our mortal enemies would, that's what!
That my friends, is our "objective" media that got us to today's "historical event"...meaning the one they have campaigned for, glorified, hyped and unashamedly promoted since 2004 to the level that the American people will believe anything they want to believe.
Let me explain. You all saw the crowds attending the Obama inauguration. You can imagine the billions watching this on TV... Now ask: at least concerning the live attendees on Times Square: What is going on in their minds? What would make people wait for hours in below freezing temperatures, in snow and ice, to be present at either event?
Times Square on New Year's Eve? Or the hyped Obama Inauguration?
I submit. The very same emotions...and for the very same reasons!
These emotions will get you the very same results.
As the clock passes Midnight, what happens? Nothing.
Time is linear. So is history.
My prediction right now:
Nothing spectacular...meaning positive...will happen under Obama that couldn't have happened under any other leader without the American Idol persona and a given set of advisors and American policy set in place upon which our policies to stay on track. What you hear to the contrary is blathering. Hype.
On that note, I wish our new American President well and the best of luck -- he'll certainly need it -- and as long as he governs from the middle, and not from the radical left that got him elected, the same people who made up all those lies about the departing president, I will hold my peace...and I recommend for others -- even his political opponents -- to do likewise. We would all like to see an end to partisanship, though that wish too, could be viewed as not "practical."
Let's face it. McCain was endorsed by The New York Times for the Republican side, was a choice that most of us would make either holding our collective noses, or by having had taken sedatives. An endorsement by the conservative's enemy is like an endorsement of Mahmoud Ahmenijad by Benjamin Netenyahu...it is unbelievable.
McCain was no choice at all. At least not for Republicans. So the new President effectively ran unopposed with ten times the money, and the media in his pockets. The results given the unpopular war and the tanking economy at just the right time should have been expected. So anyone who actually HOPEd for a Bush to McCain transition were not "practical."
Our new chief, when asked during a 60 Minutes interview "Why do you want to become president?", hesitated, until he was asked the same question for the third time. He said, "Because I'm a practical man."
I cited the above because I too, am a practical man who sees things from a historical perspective of having had watched too many HOPEs dashed.
Unlike the vast audience attending today's historical event, full of HOPE without any basis for their hope, Times Square on New Year's Eve, I saw other vast crowds generating hope -- and seeing things that are just not so, illusions, smoke and mirrors, and magic tricks, a droppping ball that has no meaning -- to end with disastrous consequences.
Take Jimmy Carter....please...take him. I have others in mind but don't want to devolve this discussion to the level of MoveOn and Daily KOS, Paul Krugman and Frank Rich types.
View today's historical event as a Hollywood special effects film. Created by the very same people who hope, who have ...faith, belief, and are impressed by special effects like dropping balls. Luke Skywalker, Klingons, ET...when anything was possible.
Faith in man is meaningless and very dangerous. History has warned us especially about having faith in men with high ambitions and nice speeches.
Faith in America is not meaningless.
While the new chief spoke eloquently about the Founding and the founding documents, he has shown no inclination to obey its promulgations. In fact, he has shown disdain toward them. Accordingly, let's hope that his new assignment in life will provide him with some humbling reflection and introspection other than what he read from the teleprompter.
We, The People, still need to know...who Obama is. Where he was born, and to whom. We, The People, need to know if he supports what his mates are about to do....
... as our Congress is trying to pass a law that new bills proposed by Democrats will not be debated on the floor...and can pass in the dead of night...with no oversight....and no opposition...and be imposed on the American ...WE, The People....
as a bill, right now in committee...is coming up for a vote to remove the 22nd Amendment from our Constitution...removing term limits for presidents.Why bother with presidential elections when we can have a king...last time, King George...of the 18th century....
CHANGE? Surely, not the kind Americans who actually know what is going on would HOPE for.
And for those who would HOPE for any CHANGE, no matter what -- what one wants to see is what one gets...until reality rears its ugly head. And then it's too late.
Meanwhile, the only collective intelligence that can actually be measured voted today. The Stock Market. It is, unlike any other measure, it employs the collective intelligence of the international marketplace and is the only reliable forward-looking indicator. Today's market is the response of trillions of dollars to today's "historical event."
That collective intelligence has voted resoundingly.
