Ron Paul and the Ground Zero Mosque Issue

A year ago today, Ron Paul called those against the Ground Zero mosque “Sunshine Patriots.” He also said the opposition to the mosque is “about hate and Islamaphobia.”

Ron Paul reduced American Patriots to hateful bigots while serving as an apologist for those that murdered innocents on our soil. Paul speaks of “Islamaphobia” while ignoring Islamofascism.

In Paul’s statement regarding the Ground Zero mosque debate, Paul didn’t mention the innocent victims slaughtered by the adherents of Shariah Law and when he acknowledged the “small portion of radical, angry Islamists that do want to kill us” Ron Paul doesn’t blame the terrorists; instead he questioned the motives of the terrorists by implying that it is our fault that they are murdering us.

There is no doubt that American foreign policy is rife with failures; historically and currently. It is those failures that make a Ron Paul successful because it is those mistakes that men like him exploit.

Exploiting this nation’s poor foreign policy decisions of the past to justify the actions of our current enemies is not only reckless but it is worse than those very failures that are being exploited, for it only serves to embolden the enemy.

What Ron Paul will not mention is that Islam was waging jihad long before there was a failed American foreign policy, long before there was a Bush or Cheney in the White House, in fact long before an America even existed.

When Mohammed the Prophet was marching through Medina and Mecca and slaughtering and subjugating those that refused to convert to Islam, his jihadists were shouting “Allahu Akbar.” They weren’t shouting, “failed foreign policy.”

If Islamic terror is our fault, than one must completely ignore the writings of the Quran and the words of Muslim clerics across the globe.

When adherents of Shariah Law attempted to bring down our towers in 1993, we rolled over and continued our pattern of appeasement. When they finally took our towers down on 9/11/01 in such a grand scale that it will forever be etched in our minds and hearts, we responded more aggressively.

We can talk about the mismanagement of the subsequent wars, the dangers of the Patriot Act and other failed policies and we will be justified in much of the criticism. What is never justified is giving our enemies a pass to continue their attack upon us because at times we were fools and our attempts were inept or corrupt.

Ron Paul speaks of patriotism and cites the 1st amendment in supporting the erection of the Ground Zero mosque. Paul is often thought of as a champion or scholar of our constitution.

A true champion of the Constitution will protect the same from both foreign and domestic enemies. A scholar of the Constitution will have the capability of understanding that the 1st amendment does not give protection to organizations, religious or otherwise, from usurping the Constitution while endeavoring to conquer us.

Ground Zero in NYC is one of the sites where Islamic jihadists destroyed the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center (WTC) killing thousands of innocents.

From the rubble of the WTC, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, president of the Cordoba Initiative, called for Islamic dawa and Sharia Law on American soil. In fact, the Cordoba Initiative already has a Sharia Project housed within the building where the mega mosque is to be erected.

The original plan of the Cordoba Initiative was to open the doors of its victory mosque on the tenth-year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, but the adherents of Shariah law couldn’t raise enough money to do so.

Sunshine Patriots are those that stand for an ideal when it's easy to stand for an ideal. Is that not what Ron Paul is doing regarding the Ground Zero mosque issue?

It is a difficult task, not an easy one, to address a religious organization’s zeal to harm us, especially when that religion has woven its way into the fabric of our traditions and enjoys the protection of our Constitution.

Hopefully, the Ron Paul Patriots will join adherents of our Constitution to help and support those that took an oath to protect our way of life from both foreign and domestic enemies.

"In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, brave, hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, however, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a Patriot." - Mark Twain.

Obama’s Bus Tour Leaves America Flat

"Air-Bus One"

Usually elections, especially presidential ones, bring out the patriotic fervor in a candidate; usually, but not with the current Campaigner-in-Chief.

As the president’s first term nears an end, the nation watches the beginning of a new presidential campaign and Obama launches a three-state bus tour.

The potus has navigated this country to huge unemployment rates and a depressed economy. The bus he purchased with our tax dollars was made in Canada. The potus also deemed it appropriate to ensure no American flag symbols adorned the bus, instead he opted for a large black Canadian bus…appropriate for a state funeral or rock concert; fitting because the tune Obama sings has killed our economy.

Jay Leno summed it up with late night satire when he quipped, “President Obama is off on his three-state bus tour this week. I believe the three states are Confusion, Delusion and Desperation.”

During the presidential campaign for the 2008 election, candidates and pundits were often frightened of the backlash for openly questioning Barack Obama’s dubious affiliations and lackluster senatorial record. His power tools in the main stream media often cried racism or bigotry when Senator Obama received any scrutiny; whether it was on the issues or lapel-gate, pastor-gate or today’s bus-gate.

No other label, outside of a pedophile, if stuck on the accused would be as demonizing as the R (racist) label.

What about Patriotism? Are we not allowed to question a candidate’s patriotism? A person’s patriotism while endeavoring to lead this great country should be first and foremost.

If a candidate does not have love for his or her country, how can their loyalty be trusted? How can we trust a leader to have allegiance to our nation if that leader harbors resentment or worse for the nation? If a leader does not honor the nation’s symbols of freedom, such as our flag, perhaps we should not honor that leader with our votes.

Many will say, especially the supporters of Barack Obama, that such questions and implications are a distraction from the important issues of the day. All of the important issues will be adversely affected if the president is devoid of patriotism; issues such as the economy, jobs, national security, our borders, immigration, health care, national pride and a host of others.

I’m sure Canada may appreciate Obama’s bus tour, but on American soil the smooth operator drove into a ditch...the same place he drove the economy and job effort.

If a person with nefarious designs endeavors to fundamentally transform America, where is the best place to operate from? The White House will be a great place to start.

So, is there a legitimate Patriotic Card to be played here?

In 2007, during Barack Obama’s first campaign to be leader of the USA he told reporters that he removed his flag pin from his chest shortly after 9/11/2001. Not for fashion reasons…but to protest against our nation & her war effort against Islamic terrorism following the 9/11 attacks on our soil.

When the entire nation rallied together regardless of ideology and purchased American flags for their lapels, cars and homes in a sense of patriotic pride and unity, Senator Obama felt justified in getting rid of a symbol representing the USA.

"I decided I won't wear that pin on my chest"- Barack Obama, Illinois State Senator.

A respectful position for a presidential hopeful would have been to honor the flag, pledge allegiance to the flag and vow to improve our nation’s efforts where improvement may be needed, a patriotic approach to hope & change.

Also in 2007, at a campaign stop in Iowa with other presidential hopefuls, Barack Obama with a large American Flag as the backdrop struck a fig leaf pose during our National Anthem. All the other candidates in accord with the United Sates Code properly & respectfully placed their hands over their hearts.

After the election, President Obama continued this pattern of dishonoring America and her symbols.

In January 2010, Haiti was devastated with a 7.0 magnitude earthquake. The U.S. responded, as per her norm, in a manner that is unrivaled in the world. Washington flew 10,000 troops to Haiti to help with rescue & recovery efforts, repaired the main airport to facilitate additional relief efforts and poured Millions of US dollars into the region.

Petty dictators such as Hugo Chavez claimed America detonated a special weapon that caused the earthquake; others including the prime minister of Haiti didn’t like the site of the American Flag!

Haitian officials however did not mind the site of our checkbooks or our relief ships!

Barack Obama responded not with national pride and honor but agreed with Haiti and ordered the removal of our American flags from all bases of operation. The other countries that set up support bases in Haiti continued to fly their respective flags as a sign of identification and pride.

America, are you awake? Are you still turning a blind eye to Barack Obama’s blatant disrespect for our flag and country? Folks, without Patriotism a president will not drive the country in the right direction.

As Obama's bus tour concludes, the president promises to first go on vacation (again) and then unveil a job plan in September. After three years of high unemployment in America, this president may have missed the bus.

The Tea Party Must Reject Ron Paul

Ron Paul_Congressional image

During these troubled economic times and the Left’s assault upon decent & sane Americans in the Tea Party, as found in the Staten Island Tea Party, hopefully the idea and wonderful work of the “Tea Party” is not hijacked by the Ron Paul camp.

Absent domestic economic policy, Ron Paul cannot share the values of the Tea Party while rejecting adequate protection of the Constitution from Shariah Law and other foreign designs. Paul’s followers undoubtedly include patriotic Americans, but similar to the Obama camp many are also on the extreme fringe.

During economic duress it may be tempting to jump on the Ron Paul band wagon, for his economic savvy resonates very well with conservative fiscal values, but the ignorance of his foreign policy makes a Ron Paul presidency just as dangerous as an Obama presidency...if not worse.

As the Democratic Party was hijacked by the George Soros crowd and other far left radicals and the GOP Party has its fringe extreme, the Tea Party if not careful can be hijacked by the Ron Paul camp and the ‘well meaning’ anarcho-libertarian faction of that Party.

Anarchy should never be confused with a zeal for smaller government. Additionally, exploiting this nation’s poor foreign policy decisions of the past to justify giving our present enemies cart blanche is reckless; it is worse than those failures that are being exploited.

Granted, the Tea Party is not a national political Party, however, the grassroots movement has without question gained notoriety, respect and influence in the political discourse and direction of our nation. The Obama administration exploited the Tea Party’s success by scape-goating the grassroots movement for his failed economic policies.

In order for the tea Party to have and maintain success in rescuing the republic from the failed policies of elected officials, the Tea Party must maintain its credibility and relevance. In order to keep such status, the Tea Party cannot devolve into an isolationist and pro-shariah clan that embraces anarchy.

It runs counter to our Constitution when a leader, and presidential hopeful, fails to protect our sacred document from both foreign and domestic enemies.

What good is Ron Paul’s economic savvy if Shariah law and its adherents are allowed to go unchecked? Dhimmitude and subjugation will be the more benign aspects of a Shariah compliant U.S.

If Ron Paul has his way, an American policy will also embrace a nuclear Iran and an abandonment of Israel.

Is the motivation of a Ron Paul’s dangerous foreign policy stance a mindset that delineates the folly of “A friend (Islamofascists) of my enemy (Israel) is my friend”?

History has taught us the dangers of appeasement. Winston Churchill put it quite succinctly if not eloquently when he said, “An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last.”

Again, what good is Ron Paul’s economic savvy when he refuses basic protection against foreign radical regimes and desires to abandon important allies, especially allies in our continued fight against terrorism?

Does Paul think that because we were once a free nation that the new foreign tyrants will allow the women of our nation to choose the color of their burqas?

A champion of the Constitution will protect the same from both foreign and domestic enemies. A scholar of the Constitution will have the capability of understanding that the first amendment does not give protection to organizations, religious or otherwise, from usurping the Constitution while endeavoring to conquer the American people.

A Ron Paul’s presidency will give up essential liberty by grossly abandoning temporal security.

What have we have learned since the 9/11 attacks?

As we approach the 10-year anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks, what have we learned?

Well, the nation as a whole has matured a bit politically and culturally. The dangers of Islam, the importance of Patriotism & vigilance are no longer foreign concepts.

Yes, in far too many circles, appeasers and apologists still serve as Useful Idiots for the enemy.

An appeaser is one who feeds the crocodile-hoping it will eat him last.”- Winston Churchill.

Bush’s words are often repeated to remind us that “We are not at war with Islam.” This may be true, but never forget that by decree, Islam is at war with us.

The terror attacks of September 11, 2001 were not their first and as innocent lives continue to be slaughtered at the hands of Muslim jihadists it is quite clear that Islamic terror will continue; it is up to brave, Freedom loving men & women to face it and stop it.

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” – attributed to Edmund Burke.

America still has a lot to learn; as evidenced during the November 2008 presidential election.

“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”- Abraham Lincoln

I am proud to be part of the minority of the 2008 electorate that “got it.” All Patriots & Freedom loving Americans must remain united, vigilant, never falter and Never Forget.

No arsenal is so formidable as the will & moral courage of free men & women.” Ronald Reagan

I am not too naive or arrogant to believe or suggest that this great nation will ban Islam-for it is a recognized religion protected by the Constitution. However, we can ban laws that run counter to the constitution; laws such as Shariah Law can be summarily dispatched from the public arena.

Endeavors from the political arm of Islam to permeate into the fabric of America in order to destroy us should be aggressively confronted and stopped.

If we fail to address an enemy in our midst because that enemy is cunning enough to hide behind our Constitution-then that protective hold we have upon that sacred document becomes a suicidal grip.

We have the intellect, we need the will & political spine to utilize our Constitutional laws to protect us from the “religion of peace” and any hate group that desires our death or subjugation.

If the west continues to bury its head in the sand, regarding Islam, then the same may soon be removed from its host.”- American Angle.

Obama Orders US Military to Stop Flying the Flag in Haiti

The President of the United States ordered the military stationed in Haiti, for a large humanitarian effort, to stop flying the American flag at the bases of operation.

The U.S. responded, as per her norm, in a manner that is unrivaled in the world. Washington flew 10,000 troops to the country and repaired Haiti’s main airport to facilitate additional and sustained relief efforts. Millions of US dollars immediately poured into the region.

Click here to read about the Navy’s Mercy class hospital ship, USNS Comfort, and her response to Haiti.

The president, as per his norm, back pocketed national pride. There was plenty of room in that pocket as the American checkbook remained out and open.

From the PM of Haiti, France and the leaders of Latin America, the US received high criticism for the Haiti response. Learn how Barack Obama appeased them and furthered his anti-American sentiment. Read More>>>

Col. Howard Laid to Rest at Arlington National Cemetery

"Today, we're fighting terrorism and the spread of tyranny. We're challenged by market upheaval, joblessness and perhaps hunger. But the human spirit is resilient and can withstand more than sometimes we are able to immediately comprehend."- Col. Robert L. Howard, March 25, 2009, in commemoration of National Medal Day.

"Any nation that does not honor its heroes will not long endure"- Abraham Lincoln

On December 23, 2009, Medal of Honor recipient Col. Robert L. Howard succumbed to pancreatic cancer and died in a hospice located in Waco, Texas. Col. Howard is survived by three children and four grandchildren.

On February 22, 2010, Col. Howard was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery. He was wounded 14 times during 54 months of combat duty and five tours in Vietnam. Robert Howard retired from the Army as a full colonel in 2006 after 36 years of service, which includes more than 33 years on airborne status.

Col. Howard is the only soldier in our nation's history to be nominated for the Congressional Medal of Honor three times for three separate actions.

In 1971, President Nixon awarded Col. Robert L. Howard the Congressional Medal of Honor.

Col. Robert Howard’s Medal of Honor Citation:
For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty. 1st Lt. Howard (then Sfc .), distinguished himself while serving as platoon sergeant of an American-Vietnamese platoon which was on a mission to rescue a missing American soldier in enemy controlled territory in the Republic of Vietnam.
The platoon had left its helicopter landing zone and was moving out on its mission when it was attacked by an estimated 2-company force. During the initial engagement, 1st Lt. Howard was wounded and his weapon destroyed by a grenade explosion.
1st Lt. Howard saw his platoon leader had been wounded seriously and was exposed to fire. Although unable to walk, and weaponless, 1st Lt. Howard unhesitatingly crawled through a hail of fire to retrieve his wounded leader.
As 1st Lt. Howard was administering first aid and removing the officer's equipment, an enemy bullet struck 1 of the ammunition pouches on the lieutenant's belt, detonating several magazines of ammunition.
1st Lt. Howard momentarily sought cover and then realizing that he must rejoin the platoon, which had been disorganized by the enemy attack, he again began dragging the seriously wounded officer toward the platoon area.
Through his outstanding example of indomitable courage and bravery, 1st Lt. Howard was able to rally the platoon into an organized defense force. With complete disregard for his safety, 1st Lt. Howard crawled from position to position, administering first aid to the wounded, giving encouragement to the defenders and directing their fire on the encircling enemy.
For 3 1/2 hours, 1st Lt. Howard's small force and supporting aircraft successfully repulsed enemy attacks and finally were in sufficient control to permit the landing of rescue helicopters. 1st Lt. Howard personally supervised the loading of his men and did not leave the bullet-swept landing zone until all were aboard safely.
1st Lt. Howard's gallantry in action, his complete devotion to the welfare of his men at the risk of his life were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit on himself, his unit, and the U.S. Army.

Col. Robert Howard, Nation's Most Decorated Soldier, Falls to Cancer

July 11, 1939- December 23, 2009

"Any nation that does not honor its heroes will not long endure"- Abraham Lincoln

Two days before Christmas the nation lost a hero. Medal of Honor recipient Col. Robert L. Howard succumbed to pancreatic cancer and died in a hospice located in Waco, Texas. He is survived by three children and four grandchildren.

Wounded 14 times in 54 months of combat duty in Vietnam, Robert Howard was awarded 8 Purple Hearts, a pair of Distinguished Service Crosses (the second highest military decoration that can be awarded to a member of the United States Army), a Silver Star, Multiple Bronze Stars, the list marches on and Bob Howard is described as the nation’s most decorated soldier.

It's not often you'll find me quoting Brian Williams of NBC, but there is no argument with his description of Col. Bob Howard, “the toughest American alive when he was among us.

Brian William's Tribute to Col. Bob Howard:

Robert L. Howard grew up in Opelika, Alabama and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1956 at age seventeen. He went on to rise above and beyond the call of duty in a manner that movies and video games are modeled after. There is no better inspiration than true-life heroes and Col. Howard fits that bill.

Col. Howard served 5-tours of duty in Vietnam and is the only soldier in our nation’s history to be nominated for the Congressional Medal of Honor three times for three separate actions. The act of July 9, 1918, however, stipulates that no person could receive more than one MoH. In 1971, President Nixon awarded Col. Robert L. Howard the Congressional Medal of Honor.

Trial Date Set for Navy SEALs

AP.March 31, 2004: Iraqis chant anti-American slogans as the
charred and mutilated bodies of U.S. contractors hang from a
bridge over the Euphrates River in Fallujah, Iraq.

The Navy SEALs facing court martial for allegedly punching a terror suspect captured for killing four Americans face up to a year in military confinement and forfeiture of pay.

The three SEAls facing charges are, Matthew McCabe, Jonathon Keefe, and Julio Huertas. Matthew McCabe is charged with assault for allegedly punching the terrorist in the stomach.

The judge, Capt. Moira Modzelewski, set McCabe’s trial for Jan. 19, 2010. Huertas is charged with impeding an investigation, dereliction of duty and making a false official statement. The same judge set Huertas’ trial date for Jan. 11, 2010. Keefe is charged with dereliction of duty and making a false official statement, no trial date announced.

The three SEALs would face the same maximum penalty even though the charges against each one deviate slightly. The military first sought non-judicial punishment, called a “captain’s mast.”

McCabe’s attorney Neal Puckett said, “That would have meant that some commander had predetermined their guilt and would have punished them in a way that would have ended their careers. They weren't willing to accept that and felt that it would not be a fair hearing.”

In NYC if you belly punched your neighbor in the manner in which the Navy SEAL allegedly did to the terrorist you would not face these charges. The NYPD would not arrest you if they did not witness the incident. It would be considered a mere violation for the lack of injury and a report would have been filed.

The charges against the SEALs are clearly an over reaction and a glaring example of how political correctness is undermining our national security.

We are appeasing the terrorist, the Muslim nations and the American Left. The powers that be addressed the recent Fort Hood terrorist with the same cowardice and PC gloves that allowed terror and jihad to thrive. Have we not learned anything?

We are a nation hell bent on not rankling the sensitivities of the American left and Muslim nations to the point where we are throwing the baby out with the bath water. When is enough enough?

Let us not forget the real victims and their families in this case. The SEALs captured Ahmed Hashim Abed, he is responsible for the murders of four Blackwater USA security guards, one of whom was a former Navy SEAL, in Fallujah, Iraq, in 2004.

The four victims were killed with hand grenades and rifles. Their bodies were set on fire and dragged through the streets. The bodies of two of them were hung from a bridge in Fallujah, an image that was broadcast around the world.

In 2000, police in Manchester, England, discovered an al-Qaeda manual while searching computer files found in the home of a known al-Qaeda member. The manual is known as the "Manchester document." The contents were introduced as evidence in the 2001 trial of terrorists who bombed the U.S. embassies in Tanzania and Kenya in 1998.

The closing chapter of the manual teaches al-Qaeda operatives how to operate in a prison or detention center. It directs detainees to "insist on proving that torture was inflicted" and to "complain of mistreatment while in prison."

Ahmed Hashim Abed took a page from this handbook by complaining of mistreatment while in prison. We responded with weakness and appeasement.

Our response reinforces the terrorists' training and emboldens them. It also hijacks justice by charging our defenders of Freedom and hampers our defense by discouraging future and existing American heroes. Would you want the thankless job of protecting us?

Donna Zovka, the mother of one of the Blackwater victims said she felt some closure at the capture of the man responsible for the murder of her 32-year-old son Jerry Zovka. She rallied to show support for the SEALs.

“I am very grateful to these three Navy SEALs,” Donna Zovka told CNSNews.com. “I am hopeful for them. In my heart of hearts, I know they will overcome this and win.”

Human Events has an electronic petition to Free the SEALs. You can click here to sign it. If the server times out or you're not comfortable doing this online, you can always print-out the one page petition and snail mail it in.

Col. Van T. Barfoot, 90, Wins Battle Against Virginia HOA to Fly the Flag

Medal of Honor Recipient Victorious in Battle Against Homeowners Association

AP Photo/Richmond Times-Dispatch, Eva Russo
Nov. 2: Col. Van T. Barfoot, 90, and his daughter Margaret Nicholls
lower the flag outside Barfoot's home in Henrico County, Va.

On Tuesday, December 01, the Sussex Square homeowners association (HOA) in Virginia threatened legal action against 90-year old Van T. Barfoot if he did not take down his flagpole from his yard by 5 p.m. Friday.

Barfoot noted that there is no provision in Sussex Square's rules that forbids erecting flagpoles. For the Barfoot family flying the American Flag is a cause worth fighting for.

Van T. Barfoot is a retired Army Colonel that bravely defended our Freedoms in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Col Barfoot is a recipient of the Medal of Honor and Purple Heart.

Col. Barfoot, while fighting during WWII in Carano, Italy, single-handedly destroyed a set of German machine gun nests, killed eight enemy soldiers, took 17 prisoners and stared down a tank before destroying it and killing its crew AND managed to move two of his wounded men 1,700 yards to safety. Col. Van T. Barfoot did all this in a single day!

The Sussex Square HOA refused to make an exception for this man.

Folks, this is an American story and should transcend partisan politics. Patriotism is not owned by any given Party. I have no idea how Col. Barfoot votes and quite frankly, I do not care. I do know that Barfoot is an American hero and an honored Defender of Freedom that deserves our respect and gratitude. Democratic Senators Warner and Webb agreed and championed the cause.

Veterans' groups rallied resulting in national media attention. Obama's spokesman called the HOA request "silly." For an excellent retelling of the colonel's heroics check out Mark Levin's commentary:

On December 08, it was reported that the Sussex Square HOA agreed to stop their legal action against Van T. Barfoot. The retired Army Colonel is now free to fly the Flag in his front yard.

This is reminiscent of the management of the Oaks Apartments in Oregon ordering the residents to stop displaying the American Flag on their apartments and/or vehicles, more on that here.

Col Van T. Barfoot at 90-years old is one of the oldest living World War II veterans who received the Medal of Honor; Barfoot is not alone in that distinction.

Please meet John William Finn who at 100-years old is our nation's oldest living Medal of Honor recipient and also the only living Pearl-Harbor-Day Medal of Honor recipient.

Political Correctness Aided and Abetted the Fort Hood Terror Attack

"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves."- Abraham Lincoln

On 11/05/09, America suffered another attack by a Muslim terrorist. This latest jihad was perpetrated by an American army major stationed inside of Fort Hood, Texas. Within hours of the shooting, the identity of Major Nidal Malik Hasan was revealed along with his Islamic extremism and anti-American views.

The National Media downplayed the significance of the attack, the commander in chief gave shout-outs to a medicine man and the nation was lulled back to sleep. As the nation dozed and grazed, spin masters and professors of political correctness morphed Maj. Hasan from perpetrator to victim.

"A society of sheep must in time beget a government of wolves."- Bertrand de Jouvenal

Col. Terry Lee worked with Major Hasan and provided a further glimpse into the mind of the terrorist. Visit here for video of Col Lee's interview and text of some very telling quotes attributed to Hasan.

Some pundits and analysts have suggested that Major Hasan may have post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) because of two active wars. In order to buy into that notion one will have to believe that PTSD is contagious and/or can be contracted via osmosis. Remember, Maj. Hasan never went to war and is a trained psychiatrist.

A Harvard professor even equated radical Islam to Christian conservatives. The hypocrisy of the president is noted when he preached caution from a rush to judgment. Obama's message is a sound one, but the duplicitous nature of the president belies his intent (or does it?)

One will be hard pressed not to recall the president’s rush to judgment when he called the police stupid and falsely alleged racial profiling when a white cop arrested a black man for disorderly conduct. Visit here for a review of the Sgt Crowley and Prof. Gates dust-up.

Major Hasan attempted to contact Al-Qaeda and was the subject of an investigation, but apparently, it was above everyone’s pay grade to confront this evil and remove him from the ranks. PC kills.

Despite an understanding of the dangers political correctness may facilitate, it can still be disheartening to witness fellow Americans perpetuate the PC myth.

Different schools of thought ponder if we (the American people, the victims) are to blame via 'racial profiling' or 'insensitivity', or if the government is running a false flag op and the CIA is really behind the terror attack(s), or that the terrorist is simply a misunderstood victim of war(s) and of course the ol' stand-by; it's Bush's fault.

What is clear in the above schools of thought is the shooter is not to blame. Sometimes folks, there is indeed a bad guy that needs to be dealt with. Another thing that is clear is that the actual victims are negated and heroes are not recognized. No victims = No crime, No Heroes = No emergency.

Meet one such hero; Police Sergeant Kimberly Munley. Kimberly Munley is a mother of two and a civilian police officer assigned to Fort Hood.

Sgt. Munley responded to the soldiers’ call for help and stopped the terror attack by Nidal Malik Hasan. Prior to Sgt Munley’s arrival Hasan’s carnage resulted in 13 deaths and 31 wounded. A list of the casualties can be read here.

In a testament to the American spirit, on 11/05/09 at Fort Hood Texas, our Defenders of Freedom put it all on the line once again and rose to the occasion. During the threat and after, our heroes rushed in to save the lives of the wounded, including that of the terrorist.

Nidal Malik Hasan woke up in a hospital room after receiving the best of healthcare and immediately lawyered-up. Welcome to America.

A timeline of the terrorist’s activities up to and including the moment he stands on a desk and shouts "Allahu Akhbar" before opening fire can be viewed here.

If we continue to bury our heads in the sand, regarding the religion of peace, we may soon find the same removed from its host.

My people will perish because of a lack of knowledge”- The Bible.

Residents of the Oaks Apartments in Albany, Oregon Told to Take Down the American Flag

UPDATE: Democrat Herald reports that Barb Holcomb, the nonresident manager of the Oaks Apartments at 1440 Geary Circle S.E. called the the paper this morning and said, "I was wrong."

As reported by http://www.katu.com/news/local/64059697.html

At the Oaks Apartments, the management can fly their own flag advertising one and two bedroom apartments, but residents have been told they can't fly any flags at all.

Jim Clausen flies the American flag from the back of his motorcycle. He has a son in the military heading back to Iraq, and the flag, he said, is his way of showing support.

It has been reported that the residents have been threatened with eviction if they do not remove old glory from not only their windows or doors but their vehicles as well!

There is NEVER any justification for this.

What are good American residents of the Oaks Apartments to do? FLY YOUR FLAGS!

What are the outraged Americans to do that support these residents to do?

CALL THE MANAGEMENT OFFICE AND EXPRESS SAID OUTRAGE: (541) 967-1284‎.

A Time For Choosing

"History is usually interesting, but always relevant."- American Angle

Ronald Reagan was (is) a true leader, one that understood that it must always be country first. Friends, Patriotism is not fleeting it is not a convenience that only evokes pride when someone's husband is voted for.

Patriotism is not a mere symbol to be removed from ones chest because you don't like the war. True Patriotism is a constant never wavering support of your nation, an understanding that her symbols are never to be protested, but protected at all costs.

Our Republic is in dire need for all of her Patriots to stand up. Remember folks, titles do not make the Patriot; duty does.

You & I (not the government) with the knowledge that dissent, discourse, and the honor of duty are hallmarks of Freedom and the maintenance of the same can & will provide true hope & change.

It is up to us to ensure that America remains the “shining city upon a hill.”

Adviser to Carter and Obama Wants the US to Shoot Down Israeli Jets

By Tony Vega

Zbigniew Brzezinski, the national security adviser (NSA) for former President Jimmy Carter and top foreign policy adviser during the presidential campaign for Senator Obama, calls for the current administration to shoot down Israeli jets in defense of Iran.

Brzezinski sat down for an interview with Gerald Posner of the Daily Beast. The conversation eventually got around to the possibility of a preemptive strike on Iran by Israel.

In light of Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's consistent and persistent calls of "Death to Israel" and the revelation that Iran has a secret nuclear facility (which wasn’t so secret) the interview questions are valid.

Keeping in mind that an Israeli attack on Iran would require Israeli jets to fly over coalition airspace in Iraq, read the following excerpt of the interview:

DB: How aggressive can Obama be in insisting to the Israelis that a military strike might be in America’s worst interest?
Brzezinski: We are not exactly impotent little babies. They have to fly over our airspace in Iraq. Are we just going to sit there and watch?

DB
: What if they fly over anyway?
Brzezinski: Well, we have to be serious about denying them that right. That means a denial where you aren’t just saying it. If they fly over, you go up and confront them. They have the choice of turning back or not. No one wishes for this but it could be a Liberty in reverse.

The Liberty was a U.S. ship in international waters in the Middle East during the Six-Day War in 1967 that was hit by Israeli gunfire. The incident remains a controversial one and the US and Israel both maintain it was a tragic accident.

For Brzezinski to advise the US to confront Israel in a manner that would prompt the shooting upon an ally is highly irresponsible to say the least, but may provide a glimpse into the dark heart of Carter's former NSA.

Brzezinski advised Carter on confrontations in Iran, Afghanistan and the Middle East. How did that work out for us? Brzezinski's current advice to shoot down Israeli jets will not be followed; it will only serve as additional evidence of his disdain for Israel. There, however, remains a more important question.

We are rich in history and as such, we have the benefit of hindsight. History is usually interesting but always relevant. So, why on this spontaneously combusted green earth would Barack Obama seek the advice of Zbigniew Brzezinski? That is the bigger question.

It should be clear by now that Barack Obama has a penchant for the fringe and radical element of society, which includes domestic terrorists and anti-Zionists. Unfortunately, the ugliness of that truth prompts Americans to do the ostrich. Burying ones head in the sand is not a luxury watchdogs and/or patriots can afford.

It can no longer be considered a coincidence that our 44th president has ties with anti-Americans and other radicals. It can no longer be considered a coincidence that Obama's staff or lapse in judgment prompted the recruitment of those that run counter to American ideals.

Shamefully, there are many currently serving in Obama's administration that should never be a whispers distance to our president. One: for safety reasons and Two: heaven forbid these people were in a position to advise our commander in chief; sadly, they are.

This article may serve to highlight the reckless desires of Zbigniew Brzezinski, but more importantly it highlights the judgment of our current president.

You can listen to Obama's description of Zbigniew Brzezinski here, take away quote from that video is, "I've learned an immense amount from Dr. Brzezinski."

I have learned an awful amount from Dr. Brzezinski as well. Enough to know I wouldn't ask him directions to the grocery store, forget about advice on foreign policy matters.

Look for this administration to distance themselves from Brzezinski, if not outright throw him under the bus. In closing, I will leave you with this question: Isn't that bus (or at least under it) getting pretty crowded?
