Levin says there is no groundswell of support for Ron Paul even though his activists try to create the illusion of support in these straw polls. And he’s not the founder of the Tea Party, as most of the Tea Party wouldn’t even vote for him due to his ideas on foreign policy.

Levin asks why should we care if it’s natural that Iran would want nukes. He says Adolf Hitler would likely have wanted nukes too. I wonder, would Paul have been OK with that?

Hero Officers that responded to the 2009 Fort Hood attack lose jobs

Army terrorist Major Nidal Hasan still on payroll

FORT HOOD- Statesman reports: “The two Fort Hood civilian police officers, Kimberly Munley and Mark Todd, celebrated as heroes for responding first to the 2009 shooting massacre at this Army post were told recently they would lose their jobs as part of broader military budget cuts.”

However, the government has decided not to discharge the gunman responsible for the massacre allowing Maj. Nidal Hasan to retain his full rank, pay and medical treatment.

Lieutenant General Donald Campbell Jr., the Commander of Fort Hood said at a luncheon he hosted for reporters, "The bottom line is when you cut through everything we are as an army, we have to be fair to him regardless of what we saw or we think we saw or whatever the case may be. It's imperative we maintain the integrity of the court martial so he gets as fair a shot as possible defending himself with his team.”

In other developments, with seemingly no concern for budget constraints or the hero cops that stopped the jihadist, millions are spent on the base.

The commander said, “Work is well underway on a $500 Million new medical center, three new community based medical clinics have opened recently, and Campbell hopes there will soon be a new post exchange in an area similar to a town hall complex. He said the military is also partnering with KISD on plans for a new athletic stadium for high school football and other sports.” The luncheon report concludes, “A new training center is in the planning, and the Army wants to make sure it has the facilities and programs in place to absorb thousands of soldiers coming back to Texas. They include behavioral health, re-integration training based on need, and taking care of families in the Ft. Hood community so the nation's largest military installation can be prepared for growth.”

Campbell called it a "season of transition on post, with lots of changes coming."

It’s a shame that the growth & change does not include the two hero officers. When the government offers hope, growth & change…somehow it only exacerbates an already dysfunctional system.

It highlights a system where political correctness aided and abetted the Forth Hood terror attack in 2009, the same system that now justifies in a sense of “fairness” keeping on the payroll a terrorist, a United States Army Major that in his own words described himself as a ‘Soldier of Allah (SoA).’

Our military deserves the best facilities and services money could buy. All of us should support our military with not only our moral support but with our private funds as well as our tax funds…this support should include maintaining the two civilian police officers that answered the call that fateful day in 2009 and valiantly stopped the Fort Hood massacre that killed 13 and injured much more.

Never forget those lost at the hands of this “SoA.” Let us not abandon the defenders of freedom, civilian or otherwise, that continue to put themselves in harm’s way for our safety and comfort.

31 U.S. Special Forces Killed in Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan- On Friday, August 5, 2011 The Taliban claimed they downed a U.S. military helicopter with rocket fire while it was taking part in a raid on a house where insurgents were gathered in the province of Wardak.

Sources said more than 20 SEALs from Team Six were killed. Team Six is the unit that carried out the raid that killed Osama bin Laden.

The death toll would surpass the worst single day loss of life for the U.S.-led coalition in Afghanistan since the war began in 2001

NATO confirmed the overnight crash took place and that there "was enemy activity in the area." But it said it was still investigating the cause and conducting a recovery operation at the site.

A senior U.S. administration official in Washington said it was apparently shot down by insurgents. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the crash is still being investigated.

During third Muslim Radicalization hearing Rep King addresses media over Norway attacks

On Wednesday, July 27, 2011, the Committee on Homeland Security held the third in a series of hearings on domestic radicalization entitled “Al Shabaab: Recruitment and Radicalization within the Muslim American Community and the Threat to the Homeland.”

Prior to concluding the opening comments Rep. Peter King, the Chairman of the committee, addressed the media including the NY Times regarding the Norway killings.

Finally, I note that certain elements of the politically correct media most egregiously the vacuous ideologues at the New York Times are shamelessly attempting to exploit the horrific tragedy in Norway this past Friday to cause me to refocus these hearings away from Muslim-American radicalization.

If they had even a semblance of intellectual honesty the Times and the others would know and admit that there is no equivalency in the threat to our homeland from a deranged gunman and the international terror apparatus of al Qaeda and its affiliates such as al-Shabaab who are recruiting people in this country and have murdered thousands of Americans in their jihad attacks.

Presidential candidate Herman Cain on Sunday defended his opposition to a new mosque in Tennessee, expressing concern about Shariah law and declaring Americans "have the right" to ban mosques in their communities.

Cain, who stirred controversy this year by saying he would be uncomfortable appointing a Muslim to his Cabinet if elected, first expressed concern Thursday about the controversial mosque in Murfreesboro, Tenn. That mosque has been the subject of demonstrations and legal challenges in the wake of the controversy over the so-called "Ground Zero mosque" in New York City.

What have we have learned since the 9/11 attacks?

As we approach the 10-year anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks, what have we learned?

Well, the nation as a whole has matured a bit politically and culturally. The dangers of Islam, the importance of Patriotism & vigilance are no longer foreign concepts.

Yes, in far too many circles, appeasers and apologists still serve as Useful Idiots for the enemy.

Bush’s words are often repeated to remind us that “We are not at war with Islam.” This may be true, but never forget that by decree, Islam is at war with us.

The terror attacks of September 11, 2001 were not their first and as innocent lives continue to be slaughtered at the hands of Muslim jihadists it is quite clear that Islamic terror will continue; it is up to brave, Freedom loving men & women to face it and stop it.

America still has a lot to learn; as evidenced during the November 2008 presidential election.

I am proud to be part of the minority of the 2008 electorate that “got it.” All Patriots & Freedom loving Americans must remain united, vigilant, never falter and Never Forget.

I am not too naive or arrogant to believe or suggest that this great nation will ban Islam-for it is a recognized religion protected by the Constitution. However, we can ban laws that run counter to the constitution; laws such as Shariah Law can be summarily dispatched from the public arena.

Endeavors from the political arm of Islam to permeate into the fabric of America in order to destroy us should be aggressively confronted and stopped.

If we fail to address an enemy in our midst because that enemy is cunning enough to hide behind our Constitution-then that protective hold we have upon that sacred document becomes a suicidal grip.

We have the intellect, we need the will & political spine to utilize our Constitutional laws to protect us from the “religion of peace” and any hate group that desires our death or subjugation.
